Candidate Filing July 14 - 28

Interested in serving the City of Nowthen on the City Council? Candidate filing is open from July 14 through the 28! The filing fee is $5, and applications and payment must be submitted to the city offices by July 28, at 5 pm. Open seats are Mayor (1), 2-year term, and Council Member (2), 4-year term. All candidates must be eligible to vote, at least 21 years old, have maintained residence in Nowthen for at least 30 days before the general election, along with a few other requirements that can be found on the application. Council meetings are every second Tuesday of the month, starting at 6:00. Other meetings may be scheduled throughout the year.  Find an application HERE.
