Anoka County's Baugh Street Construction Project 

The Anoka County Baugh Street Project will commence soon. 

Construction Timeline
February: Trees will be cleared
March: Utility relocation
May: Road construction begins
November: Project is completed

April 27th: Construction start date
May - June: Stage 1, 181st to 188th
July - August: Stage 2, 188th to 194th
September: Stage 3, 194th to 195th
October: Stage 4, Pave wear the entire roadway

The project will:

  • Reconstruct the road
  • Addition of paved 8' shoulders
  • Right turn lanes constructed at Burns Pkwy, 184th, 187th, 188th, 190th, 194th, and 195th
  • Left turn lanes constructed at 187th, 190th, and 194th
  • Stormwater treatment
What to Expect

Detour - Signed detour using Sherburne County Rd 40, Cleveland St
Construction Noise - Construction noise will be expected, and the contractor will reduce the impact as much as possible
Dust Control - Water trucks will be used to maintain dust
Truck Hauling - Increased construction traffic
Safety - Follow in-place traffic control as directed. Follow all signs and travel with caution in construction zones

Work Hours

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Saturdays with City Permission

Resident Access

Residents living in the construction closures will always have access to their houses. Most side streets have two access points on CSAH 22 Baugh Street; one access point will be closed at a time to allow for resident access. Follow the staging detour.
